About EconEd

We're on a mission to make economic education accessible to all students.

Our Story

At first, EconEd began as a financial literacy club at our local high school. However, it was during one workshop in particular, where we noticed that many students from marginalized communities were struggling with even the basics. This gap wasn’t a reflection of responsibility, but of unequal access to financial education. It wasn’t just in Nashua where this gap existed though; it was a worldwide issue. When we realized that there was no program currently addressing this issue, we decided to take responsibility.

Transforming from a club to a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, today, we provide financial literacy education to students through in-school lessons, community centers, and free online tutoring. Our sessions focus on our volunteers working closely with the students, often having one mentor assigned to two students to ensure proper empowerment through dignity, respect, and collaboration.

By reaching students early, we aim to disrupt cycles of financial insecurity before harmful habits form. Our goal is to equip students with the tools and confidence to make informed financial decisions and to build a generation that understands money and feels empowered using it.
